DECISIVENESS
I used to be a pretty terrible poker player. I would chase bad draws, make bets that were neither bluffs, or value bets, and call bets not really knowing why I was doing it. The thing that revolutionized my game was to have an absolute sense of purpose, and decisiveness for all of my actions. Most people play the game where all of their actions lack a definite purpose, and because of that, their muddy moves end up costing them all of their chips.
Having a sense of decisiveness when it comes to women is crucial. You want to approach a girl with the purpose of seeing if there’s any chance of the two of you hitting it off. If it becomes clear that there isn’t, then move on to someone else, without hesitation or regret. If you’re going to make a move, then make a move, if you’re just interested in being friends with someone, then just do that. What most guys do is make all of their actions these half assed moves that lack any kind of purpose or clarity. They just kind of go with the flow, and hope that the path of least resistance will lead them to the road to success.
Half-heartedness is a defense mechanism to ease the pain of failure. If you actually put yourself out there, and were actually shot down, that could hurt. But if you just kind of hang around not really making decisive moves, you never have to be shot down. This by far is the biggest trap. From now on realize that everything you do has a motive and a purpose. Get clear as to what that purpose really is, and don’t kid yourself about it.
Have a mini plan with everything you do, and know when your mini plan isn’t working, and move on to plan B which could be as simple as moving on to someone else. Make all of your moves have clarity and purpose and it will transform your game for the better.
